The Movement of the Body in Dialogue Between Moon and Sun

On Sunday, March 8 in the heart of Montecatini Val di Cecina, between mining heritage and the Tuscan landscape, a new event from the DEGUSTIBUS program returns, a series promoted by Centro Artistico Il Grattacielo APS in collaboration with Coop. Itinera.

A project that brings together culture, territory, and conviviality, creating opportunities for connection where art, history, and taste intertwine.

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the event is dedicated to movement and to the symbolic strength of the great female figures of Mediterranean civilizations. An experience that invites participants to rediscover the body as a space of listening, expression, and connection.

The workshop will be led by Simonetta Ottone, a professional active in the performing arts and Dance Theatre field, working as a dance movement therapist in educational, cultural, and healthcare contexts, and founder and director of the Compagnia DanzArte Association.

Program of the Day

3:00 PM
Guided tour of Parco Minerario di Montecatini Val di Cecina, featuring stories, anecdotes, and insights dedicated also to the role of women in the history of the mine.

4:00 PM
Dance therapy workshop in the Sala Calderai: a moment of free and spontaneous movement, in symbolic dialogue between moon and sun, between energy and awareness.

To follow, a light refreshment offered by the restaurant La Terrazza sul Borgo, concluding the experience in a spirit of sharing.
