1° Festa sull’Aia

On Saturday, June 28, 2025, the village of Montecatini Val di Cecina will host the very first edition of the Festa sull’Aiaa special day dedicated to rediscovering and sharing the rural traditions that, for centuries, have shaped the everyday life of our territory.

Starting at 12:30, the heart of the event will be the gastronomic stand, where guests can enjoy typical dishes from the Tuscan countryside tradition. Simple, genuine recipes prepared with local ingredients, celebrating the true flavors of the land. Lunch will be a moment of gathering and conviviality—an opportunity to sit together and share the authentic taste of rural life.

Throughout the afternoon, the event will be accompanied by the music and voices of “I Cantori dei Tempi Passati”a group dedicated to traditional folk songs handed down orally from generation to generation. Their performances rich with memory and emotion evoke stories of work, changing seasons, celebrations, and everyday life, bringing us back to a time when music was deeply woven into rural existence.

All day long, visitors can also admire a display of vintage tractors and traditional farming tools a true journey into the past that will light up the eyes of the youngest and awaken fond memories in the older generations.
